A military personnel, Lance Col. Ayuba Ali was killed by a mob in Nassarawa State Akwanga.
According to reports, trouble started for the deceased who was on mufti, when the motorcycle he was riding on, hit a street hawker at Agwan Affi area of the town.
Pleas by the soldier to the victim fell on deaf ears as irate youths in the area gathered and beat him until he fell into a coma. He was rushed to the hospital where he was confirmed dead.
Meanwhile, the state police command have launched an investigation into the matter. Two persons have already been arrested in connection with the crime.
